This page allows creating new routes, modifying existing ones or
importing/exporting them from/to the palm unit.
The list on the upper half of the page shows the existing routes.
By selecting one with the palm stylus, the waypoints composing the route
are shown in the list at the bottom of the page.
To choose a route and setup a task, press the Setup task button.
When a task is active, this page is replaced by a different
one displaying the details of the route that is being followed:

For further details on this page, see:
Setting up a task.
The import drop-down list allows you to import
in CompetitionPilot route files (in CompeGPS .rte format) from a memory card
if one is present in the palm expansion slot.
Touching import with the palm stylus, the list of
available route files is displayed.
Route files can be transferred on the card by copying them directly
from your PC onto it. They can also be copied on the card during
an hotsync operation if the card is present in the palm expansion slot.
Warning: route files must be copied in the "PALM/CPilot/Routes"
folder or CompetitionPilot will not be able to import them.
When selected, CompetitionPilot uses the altitude data coded in the
waypoint name. Otherwise, it uses the altitude data contained in the
waypoint data. Waypoint names following the standard name coding
start with a letter (that normally identify the flight area),
followed by a two-digit number that labels the waypoint and ends with
a three-digit number that indicates the waypoint altitude in tens of meters.
"M06082", for example, is the name of the waypoint number 06. Its
height is 820 m.
The altitude data is not always contained in the waypoint internal data.
If the names are in the standard format, it is safer to select this
option.
The task-setup page is shown when you press
this buttn.
Allows to stop the active task.
This menu is specific of the route page.
It allows you to create, modify, esport or delete routes.
Using the Garmin protocol, you can also import the routes from your
GPS (tested only on Foretrex 201 and 101 models).
Permette di creare una nuova rotta. Selezionando
questo comando, appare una finestra che permette di dare il
nome alla nuova rotta:

After you confirm by pressing the "OK" button, CompetitionPilot
opens the
route editing page
allowing you to add waypoints to the newly created route.
When you exit the editing page, the new route will be shown in the
route list.
CompetitionPilot opens the
route editing page allowing you to modify
the selected route by adding, removing or sorting the waypoints.
This command starts the route download from the GPS.
It can be used only if the Garmin protocol is selected
in the
program options page and the GPS supports this protocol.
At present, CompetitionPilot implements the Garmin protocol only partially
and may not work on several models.
It was tested on the Foretrex 101 and 201 models.
The selected route is transferred to the
export page,
that will allow you to save the route on a memory card in CompeGPS .rte
format or to send it to a receiving unit via BlueTooth, infrared or
serial connection.
When you want to change a route name, this is the command to
use.
CompetitionPilot deletes the selected route, after asking for
confirmation.
All the waypoints and routes are removed from the memory.
CompetitionPilot asks for confirmation before proceding.
